Does a Virginia LLC file an annual report?

No. An ordinary LLC pays the SCC annual registration fee, which is $50. Do not confuse that payment with state tax returns.

When is the first Virginia LLC annual fee due?

At the end of its formation month in the following year. Later payments use that month each year unless the SCC adjusts the due date.

Can any Virginia resident be my registered agent?

No. An individual also needs the statutory qualification, such as being an LLC member or manager or a Virginia State Bar member, plus the Virginia registered office.

Is $150 always the first-year cost?

No. The $100 formation filing and $50 annual payment have different deadlines. Tax, license and service costs are separate.

Can I register Virginia taxes without an SSN online?
