Compare the standard state cost of forming a domestic, for-profit LLC and its ordinary recurring state filing or charge. These are not all-in business costs: agent services, local permits, taxes and a second-state registration may add more.
Louisiana changes on October 1, 2026: formation is $100 and its annual report $30 through September 30; the published amounts become $125 and $35 on October 1.

Three details worth checking
- Arizona: the $50 amount is for regular processing. The Arizona Corporation Commission FAQ lists $85 for an online filing. Check the amount shown at checkout.
- Louisiana: the rates change on October 1, 2026, as shown above and in its row. Check the filing date.
- Rhode Island: beyond the $50 annual report, the 2026 state tax notice sets a $400 annual charge for pass-through and S-corporation LLCs. A C-corporation LLC pays the greater of its calculated income tax or $400.
A dash means this comparison does not state an ordinary recurring amount for that state; it does not mean $0. $0 rows refer to the specific filing described, not all taxes. Some reports are biennial, not yearly. Fees can change, so check the state's current forms before paying.
